11.00 Ich hab total vergessen, dass heute der 12. ist. Aber außer Frühstück und Bad putzen, habt ihr bisher nichts verpasst :-). Das Kind hat ein ausgiebiges Bad genossen (der heutige Tag ist schulfrei), jetzt helfe ich beim Haare föhnen … I completely forgot that it’s the 12th today. But apart from breakfast and bath cleaning, you haven’t missed anything so far :-). Kid has spend a long time in the bathtub (it’s a PD day today), so now I’m on hair drying duty …

11.30 Das winterliche Willkommensschild muss mal ausgetauscht werden. Also schnappe ich mir ein Brett aus der Garage und mache mich ans Malen. The wintery welcome sign has to go. I get a plank from the garage and start painting.

13.00 Das Kind bei einem dreistündigen Lego-Robotics-Workshop absetzen. Dropping off kid at a three-hour Lego robotics workshop at the community centre.

13.30 Zurück zuhause starte ich eine lange, farbige Backsession - Kuchen für den Osterkuchenverkauf in der Deutschen Samstagsschule und etwas für eine Party am Samstag. Back home, I start a long, colourful baking session - something for the Easter bake sale of the German Saturday school and a cake for a party on Saturday.

14.30 Während die Kuchen backen, nehme ich mir die Anmerkungen meiner Lehrerin des Immigrantinnen-Schreibworkshop vor und überarbeite einen Text für die Aufführung. As the cakes are in the oven, I tackle the notes from my teacher of the female immigrant writing workshop and revise a text for the performance.

Stopp bei Freunden, um eine verliehene Fotostudiolampe der besseren Hälfte wieder abzuholen.

Nachdem das Kind im Bett liegt, entdecke ich einen Stapel nicht zusammengelegter Wäsche im Gästezimmer.
